こちらは、放送終了後、Kenさんから届いた
もっと細かい「月の満ち欠け」の写真↑と英訳です↓

This was for (2013.5.25. )

I did some research on the phases of the moon
and came up with this...8 phases in total:

●New Moon
●Waxing (getting larger) Crescent
●First Quarter
●Waxing Gibbous
●Full Moon
●Waning (getting smaller) Gibbous
●Last Quarter
●Waning Crescent

It takes 29.5-days to go through all 8-phases in a "Lunar Month"

三日月は…わかりません。
Mikazuki is .....I don't know.

クレセント ムーン。
Crescent moon.

あぁ、フランスのクレセント ロールに似てますね。
Oh, like French crescent rolls?

日本語ではクロワッサンの事です。
We call them "Croissant".


KEN
はい、その通り。
Yes, that right.
他の形(有り様)は？
How about another phase.

新月はニュームーン。
Shingetsu is new moon.


KEN
はい、そして…。
Yes, and.....

半月は、ハーフムーン。
Hangetsu is a half moon.

う……ん…わかりません。
Mmmmmm.....I don't know.

我々は、スリークオーター ムーンと呼ぶ月がありますが、日本では聞いた事がありません。
We also have a 3/4(three-quarter) moon but I have never heard of it in Japan.

私も聞いた事がありません。
I haven't either.


KEN
今夜は 駿河湾に浮かぶ満月を 楽しめたらいいですね。
Anyway it's nice to enjoy the full moon this evening on Suruga Bay.
