先週、お花見会に行くと行ってましたね。
Last week you said that you were going to a cherry-blossom viewing party.

どうでしたか？
How was it?


KEN
咲き始めたばかりで綺麗で、人も少なかったです。
It was beautiful and the blossoms had just opened and few people were there.


JUN
それは 良かったですね。
That was lucky, wasn't it?

私は 今週の水曜に日比谷公園の満開の桜を見て来ました。
I went to Hibiya park this Wednesday and the trees were in full bloom.


KEN
混んでましたか？
Was it crowded?


JUN
いいえ、ランチタイムだったので 人は少なかったです。
No, it was lunch time and there were few people.

きっと 夜には 沢山の人が来たのでしょう。
I gess they would come in the evening.


KEN
お花見には 普通 お酒と歌がつきものですが…あなたの目的はなんですか？
Cherry-blossom viewing is usually about drinking and singing...but what was your goal?

「花より団子」と言う諺がありますね。
There is an expression"Hanayori dango".


KEN
お花よりも 甘いケーキのほうがいいってこと？
Sweet cake over flowers?


JUN
信じられないかもしれませんが。

桜の時期にしか販売しない「桜 道明寺」と言うスイーツがあるのです。
There is a kind of sweet cake called "Sakura doumyoji"which is only available when cherry-blossoms are blooming.


KEN
今年は まにあわなかったので来年買います。
I missed it this year(time) I 'll try next year.
